Design Brief and Overview
Business Context: HuongThinh Coffee, a respected B2B coffee supplier with 20 years of farm management expertise, needed to pivot toward B2C market positioning. While well-established among small café businesses, the brand lacked consumer recognition.
Strategic Goal: Design and develop a digital presence that bridges their heritage expertise with modern consumer appeal, targeting style-conscious coffee enthusiasts in their 20s ahead of their 2026 café launch.
Deliverables
- Brand identity system (logo, color palette, typography)
- Responsive landing page design
- Interactive Carousel and Navigation
Challenges
- Embracing heritage with modernity: How to honor 20 years of expertise while appealing to a younger demographic
- No existing digital footprint: Creating the first touchpoint from scratch without an established visual language
- Dual audience consideration: Designing for immediate B2B credibility while building future B2C appeal
Problem Solving
- Visual storytelling approach: Combined doodle-style illustrations with elegant script typography (Miss Fajardose) and modern serif (Instrument Serif) to showcase how authenticity meets contemporary lifestyle
- Modular component system: As the website remains a work-in-progress with planned expansions during the B2B to B2C pivot, I prioritized easily updatable and reusable component choices
Interactive Prototype
Outcomes
- Delivered complete brand identity and interactive landing page prototyping within 4 weeks.
- While the founding team continues developing their business expansion strategy, an extended design brief for comprehensive web design and development is scheduled for late 2025. The founding team unanimously adopted my design direction for their official product launch.
Lessons Learned

- As a young professional myself, balancing my expertise with clients’ expectations and aesthetic preferences proved both challenging and rewarding. This project strengthened my confidence in working with clients across diverse sectors and industries.
